Rows out of a club that freezes over four months a year, which means half the training happens on an erg in a basement. They consider this a competitive advantage and will argue the point at length.

Criterium racer and occasional gravel convert. Sprinter by build, breakaway rider by temperament.

Open-water marathon swimmer.

Completed a twenty-kilometre lake crossing in 2024 and is training toward a channel attempt. Cold-water tolerance built the slow way, over years of shoulder-season swims that most people would call unreasonable.

Coaches a masters squad and is the reason four of them now own wetsuits they did not previously want.
